The ex-commander of the Russian Airborne Forces Shpak called the DPR data on the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “quite convincing”

The former commander of the Russian Airborne Forces, Colonel-General Georgy Shpak, in an interview with a correspondent, said that “at first glance, the data from Donetsk about a possible offensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine look quite convincing, but, of course, they require verification.”

On February 19, the Ministry of Defense of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) unveiled an "offensive plan" for the Ukrainian armed forces in the Donbass.

“Any information about the enemy during the fighting is invaluable. A map is generally a great success, unless it is misinformation. At the same time, I am convinced that the plans for the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are well known in the Russian General Staff, in its Main Intelligence Directorate - the GRU. Not in reproach to the intelligence services of the DPR and LPR, which undoubtedly have their own intelligence network and can obtain important information, ”said Shpak.

The general added that the Russian military department would check the DPR data.

“I think that even now the information voiced in the DPR about the plans for the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be checked and analyzed by the GRU and compared with their own data. The difference, as it seems, may not be significant - the positions of the Ukrainian army are already visible at a glance, ”Shpak believes.

Earlier it was reported that in the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic, government agencies and enterprises were transferred to wartime mode, and those liable for military service were ordered to arrive at mobilization points.

The day before, the leadership of the DPR and LPR announced the temporary evacuation of residents of the republics, mainly women, children and older people, to the Rostov region in connection with the threat of a military attack from Ukraine.
