Poland's representative to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Adan Halasinski said that Poland, at the request of Ukraine, is convening an extraordinary meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“At the request of Ukraine, the Polish Chairmanship will convene an extraordinary meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council,” Khalasinski said.

According to him, Mikko Kinnunen, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office in Ukraine and in the Trilateral Contact Group, and Head of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, Halit Cevik, were invited to participate in the meeting.

Earlier, the Russian permanent mission was surprised by the reaction of the OSCE leadership to what is happening in eastern Ukraine.

As emphasized in the message, OSCE Chairman-in-Office Zbigniew Rau, his Special Representative for Ukraine Mikko Kinnunen and Secretary General Helga Schmid "rebroadcast statements of the military command", according to which "information about the preparation of the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is disinformation."
