The European Union intends to send a special rapid response team to Ukraine, consisting of cybersecurity experts, Politico reports.
The group will include ten people from six European countries - Croatia, Estonia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland and Romania. Their task will be to help Kiev "repel cyber attacks from Russia."
This is the first time such a group has been deployed abroad as part of the implementation of the pan-European program of permanent structured cooperation on security and defense issues - PESCO. This program is part of the EU's global strategy and is aimed at closer cooperation between member countries in the defense sector.
