"Over the past 24 hours, more than nine thousand citizens evacuated from the territory of the republics of Donbass crossed the border through checkpoints," the press service of the Border Directorate of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Rostov Region said.

In addition, there are 6,870 people in 124 temporary accommodation centers in the Rostov region, including 3,533 children.

Evacuated residents from the regions of Donbass receive SIM cards from Russian mobile operators in a simplified manner. Almost 10,000 SIM cards have been issued.
