Gavrilitsa: Risks for Moldova related to the management of refugee flows

Moldova (bbabo.net) - "Now the main risks for Moldova are related to the management of refugee flows from Ukraine," said Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilitsa. At a briefing on Thursday, she said that according to information (at 13:00), about 3,000 citizens of Ukraine entered Moldova, and the number of those who asked for help is growing, infotag.md reports.

"Some in Moldova are on the way to get to Romania or other EU countries. Some have relatives in the Republic of Moldova and they do not need support. But there are those who request protection, which we must provide in accordance with international obligations," she said.

Gavrilitsa stressed that the main risks are now associated with the reception of refugees, and all other risks are manageable or insignificant.

"Our banking system is stable. The NBM has the necessary reserves. There is no reason to panic. There are food reserves, as well as opportunities to replenish them," the Prime Minister noted.
