Saudi Arabia has set the goal of developing a domestic defense complex

At the World Arms Exhibition in Saudi Arabia, which ended today, more than 600 exhibits from 42 countries of the world, including Russia, were presented. Exhibitors have signed contracts worth 29.7 Saudi Riyals, which is approximately equal to 7.5 billion US dollars.

The exhibition was initiated by the General Directorate of Military Industry of the KSA - GAMI. During the four days of its work, it was visited by 80 state delegations and 65,000 guests, reports Arab News.

“At this event, we shared knowledge, established contacts and created trade relations, which means that the World Arms Exhibition laid a new era in the field of investment in our country and the development of its defense complex. I really hope that at the next exhibition in 2030 we will achieve our goal and achieve that half of the exhibits are Saudi-made,” said Ahmad al-Ohali, head of the country’s General Directorate of Military Industry.
