The Russian market is reoriented from the West to friendly countries

Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - The government has reassured Russians who fear a shortage of goods or interruptions in supplies amid tightening Western sanctions.

Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko ruled out the risk of a shortage or disruption, pointing out that there are no prerequisites for this.

She stressed that Russia has already begun to increase imports from friendly countries, expanding the partner network and establishing mutually beneficial trade.

According to Abramchenko, Russia's agro-industrial market is also not threatened by isolation.

"The world is not limited to the United States and the European Union. Russia is opening up new markets and entering into agreements with new suppliers," the official added.

As previously reported, the Rosselkhoznadzor lifted restrictions on the import of products from more than 140 foreign companies, including those from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, India and China.
