There is already a mosque in the village of Shakhovskoye, neighboring Zalari, in three villages of the neighboring Ust-Ordynsky Buryat district of the Irkutsk region. More than a hundred years ago, the Tatars from the Ufa province, having moved to Zalari and settled down, first of all built a mosque. The wooden building has not survived.
