On the eve of Ramadan, the mufti of Primorye spoke on Radio Russia

Russia and CIS (bbabo.net) - Yusup Abdulmuslimov, Doctor of Islamic Sciences, Mufti of Primorsky Territory in the DUM system of the Asian part of Russia yesterday gave an interview to Radio Russia: Primorye, the regional transmitter of the country's main state radio station.

The spiritual leader told the audience about the features of fasting in the month of Ramadan, in general about fasting in Islam, as important components of the Muslim faith for spiritual growth and self-improvement of a person; about how Muslims live in the Far East, how they solve issues related to religious prohibitions, in particular, prohibitions on certain foodstuffs. Yusup-khazrat also spoke about what prompted him to enter the Islamic University of Malang State in Indonesia, and then, after graduating from the magistracy of the university, to continue further religious education at the Bulgarian Islamic Academy. The interview also touched upon the issues of building a mosque in Vladivostok, interfaith cooperation, and the current difficult situation in the country.

Today, the Muslims of Vladivostok will gather for the first taraweeh prayer along Dobrovolskaya Street on the coast of the Ussuri Bay. Every day, one juz of the Holy Quran will be read in the prayer house and iftars will be held with the invitation of everyone.
