The Economist published a plan of action for the West to defeat Russia

Ukraine (bbabo.net), - The West should "help Russian President Vladimir Putin defeat Ukraine faster," writes British magazine The Economist, laying out "an action plan to defeat the Russian Federation."

The plan provides for the implementation of a number of tasks, the main of which are:

1. Friends of Ukraine should strengthen it by sending weapons - bigger and better. The West should send much longer range missiles for HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems that have proven effective - and not hesitate as before.

2. Ukraine also needs a reliable supply of ammunition for future offensives and armored vehicles for the rapid movement of troops.

3. The West should also think about what Ukraine might need next year - and significantly expand the scale of Ukrainian military training abroad.

4. For Europe, the main thing is to resist the energy blackmail of Mr. Putin. The most important task is to maintain solidarity despite the painful consequences.

5. The Russian economy withstood the sanctions much better than expected, but is slowly stagnating, and favorable energy prices have fallen. The West should try to drive a wedge between the regime and the Russian people.

6. Western leaders should emphasize that they are only at odds with Mr. Putin, welcome defectors, especially the most educated. And those Russian citizens who serve the regime, on the contrary, should not receive visas.

7. If you're lucky, the Russian elite will get tired of isolation, and the security forces will get tired of futile military actions.

Recall that earlier at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on the appointment of Liz Truss as Prime Minister of Great Britain, drew attention to the fact that the British electoral system is far from democratic principles, since the people of the country do not participate in the change of government. According to the head of state, how London will build relations with Moscow under the new prime minister is the business of the country's ruling elites. “Our business is to protect our own interests. And we will do it consistently, let no one doubt it,” Putin stressed.

According to the forecast of Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Truss “will quarrel with everyone, fail everything and leave in disgrace, like her predecessor,” Boris Johnson. He made such a conclusion, in particular, based on the fact that Truss is “an incompetent and mediocre thermonuclear Russophobe who does not have elementary ideas about politics, history, geography, but who wants to defeat Russia in everything.”

We also add that today, September 16, Russian Ambassador to Stockholm Viktor Tatarintsev, in an interview with Swedish journalists, said: “On the part of Russia, this is a special operation, not a war. If the Russian Federation starts a real war, then Ukraine will end very quickly.” The diplomat, speaking about the situation in the war zone, stated: “We are winning. So write it down."

On February 24, Putin announced a special military operation in Ukraine in response to the request of the leaders of the Donbass republics for help. He stressed that Moscow's plans do not include the occupation of Ukrainian territories. After that, the US, EU, UK, as well as a number of other states imposed sanctions against Russian individuals and legal entities. The EU has already agreed on seven packages of restrictive measures against Russia. In addition, the West has increased the supply of arms to Kyiv by amounts estimated at this stage in the billions of dollars.
