The referendum in the Kherson region will be held from 23 to 27 September – Balance

Ukraine (bbabo.net), Occupied by Russia - Voting on the entry of the Kherson region into the Russian Federation will be held in the region from 23 to 27 September.

This was stated in his Telegram channel on September 20 by the head of the military-civilian administration of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo.

He stated that he had signed a decree on a referendum, as a result of which the region could become part of Russia as a full-fledged subject of a single state.

"I inform you that, in accordance with the decree, the referendum will be held between 23 and 27 September 2022," Saldo said in a statement.

The decree defines the procedure for organizing voting and holding a referendum on the territory of the Kherson region, as well as establishing administrative and criminal liability for violation of these rules.

"Given the difficult situation in the Kherson region and realizing its responsibility for the life and tranquility of the inhabitants of the region, the Administration of the Kherson region will do everything necessary to ensure security for all residents of the region," the head of the CAA assured.

He also said that the regional authorities turned to the Russian Federation and other states for help in holding a referendum. The region asks for assistance in establishing a legal constitutional order on the territory of the Kherson region.

“I am sure that the entry of the Kherson region into the Russian Federation will secure our territory and restore historical justice,” concluded Saldo.

As bbabo.net reported, referendums on joining Russia in the Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics will also be held from 23 to 27 September.

We also reported that on September 20, the public council of the Kherson region appealed to the head of the region, Vladimir Saldo, with a request to immediately hold a referendum on joining Russia.
