It is noted that providing units with uninterrupted communications is one of the foundations for the success of military operations.

In this regard, from the very beginning of the NMD, military signalmen provide command of units with all types of communications around the clock and in any weather.

Among them: secure satellite, radio relay, mobile and radio communications. Thus, the continuity and efficiency of command and control of troops at a high level is maintained.

Egor, commander of the communications battalion of the Western Military District, spoke about the features of his combat work. He stressed that communications in the troops must always be stable and timely.

“There will be no communication - there will be no decisions made, no orders will be executed. The movement of control points at night and daytime is always accompanied by the movement of communications. Where the control point went, a communication line should be extended there in a timely manner. From my combat experience I can say that the timeliness, secrecy and decisiveness of all signalmen who perform tasks during a special military operation saved lives quite a bit ... ”, the officer said.

According to him, the signalmen more than once had to restore communication and go to the points where the communication line was broken. In combat conditions, signalmen carried out the replacement of constituent elements and control units.
