The Taliban banned the broadcasting of Radio Liberty and Voice of America in Afghanistan

Asia (bbabo.net), - Broadcasting of Radio Azadi (the Afghan branch of Radio Liberty, a foreign media outlet recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) and Voice of America (a foreign media outlet recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) in Afghanistan is now prohibited. This was announced today, December 1, by TASS with reference to the Afghan news agency Khaama Press.

“Their broadcasting began after the American occupation, and now it has been stopped due to one-sided coverage of events and non-compliance with journalistic ethics,” Abdul Haq Hamad, head of the Taliban Ministry of Culture and Information Broadcasting Supervision Service, quoted Khaama Press as saying.

Broadcasting has been suspended since December 1.
