Ukraine (bbabo.net), - In 2023, Berlin approved arms exports worth over 11.7 billion euros. This was reported by the DPA news agency with reference to data from the response of the German Ministry of Economics to a request from Bundestag deputy Sevim Dagdelen, representative of the Union Sarah Wagenknecht.

This is a record amount - the highest figure in the entire history of Germany; more than a third of approved exports - 4.15 billion euros - go to Ukraine, the agency notes.

“By mid-December, the federal government had approved at least €11.71 billion worth of arms exports, setting a new record. The previous high of 9.35 billion euros from 2021 was exceeded by 25%. Compared to the previous year, the growth was as much as 40%,” DPA reports, as quoted by RIA Novosti.

In addition to Ukraine, Germany supplied weapons to Norway worth 1.2 billion euros, Hungary (1.03 billion euros), Great Britain (654.9 million euros), the USA (545.4 million euros) and Poland (327.9 million euros).

To Israel, Berlin approved the export of weapons worth 323.2 million euros - this is more than 10 times more than in 2022, the bulk of the supplies were approved after the Hamas attack on October 7.
