Britain will not be able to fight Putin for more than two months

In the event of a full-scale war with Russia, the British army will be able to hold out for no more than two months. The Telegraph quotes senior military officials.

Deputy Chief of the British Defense Staff, Lieutenant General Rob Magowen, said that his country simply does not have enough resources and ammunition.

This statement came after the British Defense Minister addressed parliamentarians. Grant Schepps told MPs he lobbied Rishi Sunak for more money in the defense budget but failed to secure more spending.

Schepps reassured the deputies with only one thing - Great Britain is a member of NATO, in the event of war, Article 5 of the military bloc's charter will come into effect, all NATO countries will enter the war and with joint efforts Russia can still be defeated. The minister said that Britain, fortunately, would never find itself in a one-on-one situation with Moscow.

Last December, US President Joe Biden allowed for a direct clash between NATO and Russia when he asked Congress to approve an increase in defense spending.
