Caucasus (bbabo.net), - Armenia will send 30 tons of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. A resolution on this was adopted today, March 28, at a meeting of the government of the republic.

The aid will consist of food and medicine and is intended to be distributed to the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians currently at the Rafah crossing on the Gaza-Egypt border.

To carry out the humanitarian mission, the country's authorities allocated 19 million drams (about $47 thousand). The delivery of aid is organized by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, which is asked to provide appropriate vehicles.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recalled that an agreement on sending humanitarian cargo was reached during his official visit to Egypt at the beginning of this month. Then the Prime Minister of Armenia agreed with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to assist in organizing the delivery of humanitarian aid.
