Russia and CIS (bbabo.net) - On January 5, Vladikavkaz hosted a meeting of the Council of the Coordination Center for Muslims of the North Caucasus.

In addition to the muftis, the meeting was attended by their deputies, as well as members of the executive committee of the KCMSC.

The participants announced a number of major events that are planned to be held in the coming year.

Thus, a conference on Islamic topics will be held in Vladikavkaz in March. Simultaneously with it, the elections of the chairman of the KCMSC will be held.

Several events will be dedicated to the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam in the Volga Bulgaria, which will be held in different regions of the North Caucasus Federal District, one of them is an international conference in Derbent.

Religious leaders decided to form an organizing committee to prepare for all upcoming events.

Also at the meeting of the Council, the work plan of the executive committee of the KTSMSK, headed by the mufti of the Stavropol Territory, Muhammad Rakhimov, was presented.
