During the shelling of the settlement, an employee of the People's Militia was killed. The representative of the press service of the People's Militia Department of the LPR, Alexander Mazeikin, said that this happened “at a time when there is an active discussion of the situation in Donbass on international platforms, and the Ukrainian leadership declares its commitment to the course of a peaceful settlement of the conflict. Meanwhile, on the line of contact, Ukrainian fighters “demonstrate the true intentions of the Kiev regime,” Mazeikin added.

According to the LPR, the Ukrainian security forces focused on preparing provocative actions aimed at "destabilizing the situation and creating favorable conditions for the start of aggression."
