Found the relationship of excess weight and antibodies from COVID-19

Obese people who have had coronavirus are better protected from reinfection than overweight and normal weight recoveries of COVID-19. This was stated by scientists of the Israeli medical center "Sheba", RIA Novosti reports.

They conducted a study that showed that although over time the number of antibodies decreases in both those who had previously been ill and those who were vaccinated, antibody levels improved in the former, and not in the latter.

“The quality of antibodies increases after infection, but not after vaccination,” the experts said.

They also found a correlation between excess weight and antibodies: patients who had recovered from coronavirus infection and were obese had a “higher and more stable immune response, protection” compared to overweight and normal weight patients.

Earlier, a team of scientists from the United States, Germany and Switzerland found that coronavirus can actively multiply in human adipose tissue, and COVID-19 causes its inflammation.

Prior to this, South Korean experts said that the combination of diabetes, hypertension and obesity 11.48 times increases the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease.
