Mind-blowing sound quality and Android on board

Sony today introduced two new premium Walkman portable music players, the NW-WM1ZM2 and NW-WM1AM2.

The manufacturer promises future customers "mind-blowing sound quality." The body of the NW-WM1ZM2 is made of 99.99% (4N) gold-plated oxygen-free copper (OFC), and a thick Kimber Kable is used to connect the amplifier board to the balanced headphone output. The novelty is equipped with 256 GB of internal memory.

The NW-WM1AM2 uses an aluminum alloy chassis and a low-resistance oxygen-free copper cable. This model offers the user 128 GB of internal memory.

Among other features of the players, the manufacturer notes a 5-inch HD touchscreen display, an Android operating system, a microSD memory card slot and a USB Type-C connector, S-Master HX digital amplification technology, upgraded capacitors, including several FT CAP3 high-polymer capacitors, gold solder, DSD Remastering Engine and High-Resolution Audio technology. Players are able to work autonomously up to 40 hours in FLAC 96 kHz audio playback mode.

Players NW-WM1ZM2 and NW-WM1AM2 will be available on the Russian market from April 2022. The cost will be announced later.
