The latest Intel Core i5-1240p processor was much faster than the flagship Core i7-1195G7

Benchmark results for a Lenovo laptop based on the latest Intel Core i5-1240p processor from the Alder Lake family have surfaced on Geekbench. In a single-threaded test, he earned 1648 points, in a multi-threaded test - 8550 points. For comparison: the results of the flagship Core i7-1195G7 are 1603 and 5541 points, respectively. That is, if the single-core performance of these CPUs is approximately the same, then the multi-core performance of the latest Core i5 is much higher than that of the top-end Core i7 of the previous generation.

In terms of TDP, these processors are comparable - in both cases, the value is 28 watts. But the Core i5-1240P has more cores - 12, and it can run 16 threads (only four cores are large here, they support multithreading). The CPU runs at 1.7-4.4 GHz (if we talk about large cores), has 12 MB of L3 cache and an integrated graphics core with 80 execution units and a frequency of 1.3 GHz. The Core i5-1240P also supports LPDDR5-5200 RAM.
