GeForce RTX 3090 can't do that

Yesterday we wrote that the Radeon RX 6900 XT, overclocked to 3.15 GHz, set several records in 3DMark, but today there is a new leader in the benchmark. And this is the Radeon RX 6900 XT again, but already overclocked to 3.3 GHz. As you can see in the pictures below, only one of the ratings contains the GeForce RTX 3090, and even then it is in the ninth position. Still, the overclocking potential of the Radeon RX 6900 XT is much higher.

The new record was set by overclocker Stavros Savvopoulos of the Overclocking Gaming System (OGS) team. In the 3DMark Fire Strike and 3DMark Fire Strike Ultra tests, world records were set: in the first case, the video card received 80,281 points for graphics, in the second - 19,108 points. The result of the graphics subsystem in 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme is 42,891 points.

Of course, for such overclocking of the GPU, an extreme liquid nitrogen cooling system was used. As for the stand configuration, it included a Core i9-12900K processor, G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5 memory in the amount of two 16 GB modules, overclocked to 7.2 GHz, and an Asus Maximus ROG Z690 APEX motherboard.
