The Ocean Eco 60 Coupe catamaran is equipped with a solar panel and two electric motors with a power of 250 kW each.

The manufacturer of electric yachts presented the OCEAN ECO 60 Coupé catamaran with a solar battery and two 250 kW electric motors. This is the development of the ALVA ECO 60 and ECO 60 Explorer models, which differs from them in a lower silhouette and innovative features - in particular, the aforementioned 80 m2 solar panel. They are said to provide transatlantic cruising range and "virtually unlimited autonomy". The battery capacity can be in the range of 150-280 kWh. In addition to the solar panel, you can use the shore charger or onboard generators for charging. The role of the latter can be two diesel DC generators with a capacity of 100 kW each or fuel cells running on methanol, the power of which is not given by the source.

According to ALVA Yachts, in sunny weather the OCEAN ECO 60 Coupé can cruise all day at 4.5 knots (8.3 km/h) without the use of diesel engines. Going on a journey with a fully charged battery and a full tank of diesel fuel, you can go 2,800 miles.

The length of the yacht with a displacement of 34 tons is 18.40 m, the length along the waterline is 17.80 m, the width is 10.20 m, the draft is 1.2 m. The maximum speed is declared equal to 20 knots (42.6 km/h). Orders have already started. Construction of the yachts is due to start at the end of 2022.

ALVA Yachts is a German company established in 2020 on the basis of the yacht manufacturer PICA, founded in 2013. During its work, PICA launched more than forty sailing and electric yachts with a length of 6-9 meters. In its short existence, ALVA Yachts has introduced a 15m cruising yacht, two 22m and 25m electric and sail models, as well as several 18m and 27m models.
