Some Apple shareholders don't want Tim Cook to receive a $99 million bonus

While some Apple employees are secretly planning to form unions, CEO Tim Cook is to be paid a $99 million stock bonus. However, some shareholders of the Cupertino giant are against such a payment.

An advisory group of influential investors called on shareholders to vote against the $99 million reward package awarded to Tim Cook last year, the source said.

In a letter to shareholders, consulting firm Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) wrote that in 2021 Cook had "serious concerns about the format and size of the share award," adding that half of the award "lacks performance criteria."

Be that as it may, the results of the vote against paying the head of Apple a huge amount will be purely advisory in nature, and the Apple board will not be obliged to take it into account.
