Schneider Electric suspended investment projects and deliveries to Russia and Belarus

On March 17, 2022 Schneider Electric announced a suspension of all investment projects and new deliveries to Russia and Belarus.

According to Schneider Electric, the company has already stopped selling its products and developments to Russian companies under US sanctions. The Company will continue to comply with all sanctions imposed in the jurisdictions in which it operates.

Schneider Electric said it also "remains committed to its Russian employees."

According to media reports, earlier Schneider Electric was quite seriously engaged in the development of Russian industrial production. The company has invested more than $1 billion in production facilities in the Russian Federation, and more than 60% of the products supplied by Schneider Electric to Russian customers are manufactured in Russia at 5 of the company's own plants, including the ElectroMonoblock plant in the Leningrad Region (produces low-voltage automatic devices, SF6 monoblocks, devices relay protection), Electroshield in Samara and an enterprise in Mari El. The company also works in the innovation center in Innopolis and in the innovation laboratory in Skolkovo.

On March 10, Schneider Electric began blocking access to its services for users from the Russian Federation.

Since late February and early March, many foreign companies have ceased operations or temporarily left the Russian Federation, including AMD, Cisco, Dell, HP (HPE), Ericsson, IBM, Intel, Juniper, Microsoft, Mikrotik, NVIDIA, Nokia, Samsung, Siemens, Sony, TSMC and others.
