Apple is preparing to release a power adapter for simultaneously charging iPhone and iPad

In the technical support section on the Apple website, they found a document describing a 35W charger that can be used to simultaneously charge an iPhone and iPad.

According to the description, the device operates on an element base of gallium nitride (GaN), which provides quite powerful technical characteristics with a compact size. It is speculated to be Apple's first dual-port USB-C charging adapter. The power of 35 W will be enough to charge two iPhones or a smartphone and a smart watch. So, the maximum charging power for the current iPhone 13 Pro Max is 27 W, and for the Apple Watch Series 7, 5 W is enough.

The adapter ports operate in four modes: 5V / 3A, 9V / 3A, 15V / 2.33A and 20V / 1.75A. The charger also supports USB-C Power Delivery technology.

After publication in the media, Apple removed the description of the device from the site. The company currently only has one 140W GaN adapter that comes with the 16-inch MacBook Pro.

Earlier, journalists reported that Apple is preparing to introduce an iPad with OLED in 2024. Now Apple installs OLED matrices only in the iPhone and Apple Watch. The Macbook uses conventional LCDs, while the iPad uses miniLED backlit LCDs.
