The prosecutor's office will take on Wildberries because of drugs

The largest Russian online retailer Wildberries will be checked in the Moscow prosecutor's office. Open-access prescription drugs were found in the marketplace.

The situation was described in the publication Izvestia with reference to the chairman of the organization Public Consumer Initiative (OPI) Oleg Pavlov.

After the publication of the Pharmaceutical Bulletin about the possibility of buying Areplivir, a prescription drug for coronavirus, at Wildberries, Pavlov turned to the prosecutor's office. The publication noted that the drug was purchased from the manufacturer, and then the seller relabeled the packages and put them on open sale. As Pavlov noted, the seller committed four administrative violations at once - illegal sale of prescription drugs, hiding the name of the drug and its identifier, as well as entering inaccurate data into the system for monitoring the movement of drugs for medical use.

The letter to the prosecutor concludes:

Committed offenses have a high degree of public danger, since they put the lives and health of consumers at risk. Given the significant popularity of Wildberries among Russian citizens, there is reason to believe that the violations committed are not isolated, but massive.
