Kalashnikov showed a serial drone ZALA 421-24

On the eve of the opening of the Army-2022 international military-technical forum, a subsidiary of the Kalashnikov concern, ZALA aero, showed a serial sample of the ZALA 421-24 quadrocopter drone. Outwardly, it is very similar to DJI consumer drones, and the Russian development is distinguished by two antennas on the body.

The drone is able to remain invisible due to its low acoustic and visual visibility. It is controlled by a hand controller, including from a vehicle. Dimensions are 540 x 540 x 190 mm. ZALA 421-24 can fly for more than 30 minutes at an altitude of up to 1500 m. The maximum speed is 30 km/h, the communication range is more than 3.5 km.

Russian-made ZALA 421-24 is stable in operation under conditions of suppression by means of electronic warfare, said a representative of ZALA aero. According to him, the drone has already been tested.

In the summer of 2019, Kalashnikov completed factory tests of the ZALA Lancet strike drone. This is a kamikaze drone that can independently detect and attack a target. He is also able to barrage - stay in the air for a long time, waiting to strike. For the first time, the Lancet was presented at the Army-2019 forum. Then the head of the Rostec Corporation, Sergey Chemezov, noted that the new drone is more effective than standard types of weapons and at the same time costs “disproportionately less.” State testing of the new drones was to begin at the end of 2021.
