IXcellerate opened a new data center in Russia

IXcellerate has opened its third data center in Russia. The data center is located in Moscow, Biryulyovo district, on the southern campus of IXcellerate Moscow South. The new data center is designed to accommodate 1516 racks with a total capacity of 17 MW. It was designed to meet Tier III requirements. The data center can accommodate complex solutions of any complexity, including highly loaded servers and computing infrastructures with a load of up to 20 kW per rack.

The data center has a Low Speed Ventilation (LSV) cooling system designed using cold wall technology. It does not require the creation of a raised floor and, according to the developers, thanks to direct blowing and insulation of hot corridors, it minimizes the loss of cold air. This system provides almost 2 times more cooling capacity and 30% less energy consumption than many precision air-cooled air conditioners.

The developers also spoke about the physical security system created using the “Data Center in the Data Center” technology. This means the modules are placed under the "roof" of the outdoor building. Also, this system provides six lines of protection against the penetration of unauthorized people into the machine rooms.
