Most Ukrainians, in particular, 60.6% of the population thinks that the bribes are the ordinary thing, because without them it is impossible to solve the problem, or it's easier for people to solve their problems if they will pay someone.

The chairman of the Ukrainian Institute of Social Research named after Alexander Yaremenko, Olga Balakireva, presented the results of public opinion polls, UNIAN.

Balakireva believes that this data suggests that there is a need to change the minds of people who are interested in bribery to solve their issues.

At the same time, she stressed that 44.6% of respondents say that they pay bribes because it is required in some situations.

At the same time 17.5% of respondents give bribes because they "want to sincerely thank someone who has helped them to solve their problem."

As reported, the organization Transparency International, which annually makes the world ranking of corruption, said that the Prosecutor General, Viktor Shokin, does not want to reform the Prosecutor's Office and fight against corruption in Ukraine.
