In Russia, the acceptance of orders for the all-electric Mini Cooper SE model has begun. The circulation for the Russian market amounted to 250 cars, the press service of the BMW Group reported.
Mini Cooper SE pricing will be announced in early February 2022. Previously, on the official website of the brand, it was said that the electric car would be sold at a price of 3.6 million rubles. The production of the model for Russia will start in March 2022.
In Russia, the hatchback will be offered in two trim levels - Classic and Electric. Car owners were promised free service at official dealerships for three years or up to 60,000 km.
Mini Cooper SE is equipped with an electric motor that produces 184 hp. and 270 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 60 km/h takes 3.9 seconds, and from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. The claimed maximum range on a single battery charge is 215 km (according to the NEDC test cycle).
The car is equipped with a battery with a total energy consumption of 32.6 kWh. The battery charging time from 10 to 80% with 11 kW AC is 2.5 hours. When using a 50 kW DC charging station, the time is reduced to 35 minutes.
By the early 2030s, the BMW Group plans to make Mini the first brand of the concern, the lineup of which will be represented only by electric cars.
