In Russia, 23,820 new cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded over the past day. This is stated in the message of the operational headquarters in Telegram.

According to the headquarters, COVID-19 was confirmed in 85 regions of the country, while 14.9% did not have clinical manifestations of the disease. During this period, 739 deaths were confirmed.

According to the department, most of the new coronavirus infections were detected in Moscow. The second and third places in terms of the number of admitted patients are St. Petersburg and the Moscow region.

There are 5,712 cases of infection in the capital, 2,708 in St. Petersburg, and 1,990 in the Moscow region.

As the operational headquarters added, 24,952 people fully recovered in Russia in a day.

A day earlier, on January 13, 21,155 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in the Russian Federation. Moscow accounted for 5,490 new infections.

Rospotrebnadzor also warned of an increase in the incidence of COVID-19 in Russia.
