Russia (bbabo.net), - A mother of two children found in an apartment in Ulyanovsk was sent to a psychiatric hospital, the press service of the Investigative Committee for the region informs.

Earlier it was reported that two small children left unattended were found in a cluttered apartment last summer. The footage provided by the investigators shows that the apartment is dirty, it is littered with rubbish and garbage. According to the Investigative Committee, the minors did not have clothes and shoes, there was no furniture, a refrigerator and a stove in the apartment.

The guys were first placed in a hospital and a rehabilitation center, and later - in a special correctional institution for children with disabilities "House of Childhood".

Later it turned out that the mother of abandoned children from January to July 2021 repeatedly left them alone at home for a long time without food and care. The woman did not take care of them, treated them rudely and even beat her eldest son, to whom she "experienced hostility."

The Investigative Committee and the police opened several criminal cases. The mother of the children was charged with leaving in danger, failure to fulfill the duties of raising minors, and torture.

Later, the examination found that the accused had a chronic mental disorder, in connection with which the investigators asked the court to send her for compulsory treatment.

"According to the decision of the court, the woman was placed for treatment in a psychiatric hospital," the report says.
