Human rights activists said that the wife of a federal judge was kidnapped by Chechen security forces

The human rights organization “Committee Against Torture”* (the organization is included in the list of foreign agents by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation) reported on the kidnapping of the wife of federal judge Saidi Yangulbaev, the father of human rights activist Abubakar Yangulbaev, who had previously reported the disappearance of his relatives in Chechnya. It is reported by "Kommersant".

Human rights activists said that the woman was forcibly taken away from Nizhny Novgorod by people who introduced themselves as police officers from Chechnya. The publication notes that the police and unknown people in two cars with Chechen numbers arrived at the judge's house on the evening of January 20 and persistently tried to get into the judge's apartment.

Saydi Yangulbaev called a lawyer. The people who arrived showed him the order to bring the judge and his wife to court in Chechnya as a witness, but did not allow him to photograph the document.

The visitors broke into Yangulbaev's apartment, beat him, his wife Zarema Musaeva and a lawyer, after which they forcibly pulled the woman out of the house and loaded her unconscious into a car.

The human rights organization emphasized that Musayeva, who suffers from diabetes, did not have time to take medicine with her. The woman was taken away in an unknown direction. Saydi Yangulbaev himself could not be taken away, as he is protected by the status of a federal judge.

Earlier, the wife of the deputy of the Council of Deputies of Volokolamsk, Yuri Babich, turned to the police with a statement about his abduction by unknown persons.
