Light snow expected in Moscow and down to -10°C

On Tuesday, January 25, cloudy weather with clearings is expected in Moscow. The air temperature during the day will be from -8°C to -10°C, according to the website of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center.

According to the forecast, residents of the capital will experience light snow and sleet. Atmospheric pressure will be 752 millimeters of mercury.

It will get a little cold in the city at night - the temperature will drop to -11..-9°C. The wind will increase to 5-10 meters per second, and the atmospheric pressure will drop to 746 millimeters of mercury.

The scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, said earlier that the residents of the capital will expect cold weather this week to -17°C, and warming to -2°C will come at the weekend. From Wednesday to Friday inclusive, nighttime temperatures will be from -8°C to -13°C degrees below zero, and daytime temperatures from -4°C to -9°C, he added.

According to the leading specialist of the Phobos weather center, Mikhail Leus, last week a new record for the height of snow cover was recorded in Moscow, as well as "overfulfillment of the monthly rainfall norm."
