According to the press service of the district prosecutor's office, a girl born in 2009 in a coma was admitted to the surgical department of the Providenskaya regional hospital the day before. Doctors diagnosed her with a closed craniocerebral injury. Despite all the efforts of specialists, a few hours later the child died without regaining consciousness.

Law enforcement officers managed to find eyewitnesses. They said that the schoolgirl, rolling down the mountain, wanted to stop and, when trying to slow down, turned over several times.

The prosecutor's office launched an investigation into the incident.

“During the audit, an assessment will be made of the actions of local governments to equip safe places for children to rest,” said Anastasia Paskova, senior assistant to the district prosecutor for media relations.
