This was announced by the Ombudsman for Children in the region Olga Kazantseva during a meeting with the governor of the region Viktor Tomenko.

Kazantseva said that now three boys from Shelabolikha district (six, five and a half years old), who were removed from the family where they were treated cruelly, feel satisfactory. The older brothers will soon be sent to the center for helping children left without parental care. And the youngest has already been transferred to the children's hospital in Barnaul.

After a high-profile case that occurred at the end of January, when a mother and stepfather exposed a five-year-old baby to the cold for educational purposes, the region decided to strengthen the protection of minors. In 22 districts of the region, it is planned to introduce additional rates for guardianship specialists, as well as to increase salaries for guardianship officials.

The parents themselves were arrested for two months, and criminal cases were initiated against them under several articles.
