Golikova supported the request of the deputy Romanov for the evacuation of Polina Strelets from St. Petersburg from Bali

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova supported the request of State Duma Deputy, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Control, member of the United Russia faction Mikhail Romanov to organize an air ambulance evacuation in Russia of St. Petersburg resident Polina Strelets, who has been in a hospital in Denpasar since January 20, 2022 in the province of Bali.

A day earlier, Mikhail Romanov sent a government telegram to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova with a request to “organize an air ambulance evacuation of Sagittarius P.R. to a specialized medical institution in Moscow or St. Petersburg to provide medical care.

The girl received a double leg fracture and a sacrum injury while riding a jet ski. Treatment at the local Bimc Siloam Nusa Duo clinic led to dire consequences. The doctors operated on her leg, but after that the girl's brain suffered: the doctors diagnosed her with fat embolism. Polina did not regain consciousness for a long time and was breathing through a ventilator. Polina's mother believes that Russian doctors could provide the girl with more effective help.

“I have already contacted Polina’s mother and informed her about the decision taken by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Alekseevna Golikova. I express my gratitude to Tatyana Alekseevna for the lightning-fast reaction to my appeal and prompt assistance in resolving the issue of evacuating the St. Petersburg woman. Our duty is to fight for the life of every citizen of our country, regardless of where in the world help is needed. The sanitary evacuation of Polina and her further treatment on the territory of the Russian Federation is under my personal control,” Mikhail Romanov said.
