In addition, standards were approved for crediting income to the federal budget and the budgets of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation from taxpayers who have switched to a special tax regime.

According to preliminary data, the transition experiment will last 6 years.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers submitted to the State Duma a bill allowing the self-employed to register for tax purposes through the public services portal. The document is posted on the website of the lower house of parliament.

We are talking about citizens of Russia and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union - Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Since 2019, in four regions of Russia - in Moscow, the Moscow Region, Tatarstan and the Kaluga Region - as part of the experiment, a special tax regime for self-employed citizens has been operating - the tax on professional income (PIT). This is a special tax regime, those who switch to it can only pay tax on income from independent activities at a reduced rate of 4 or 6%.
