A woman suspected of an attempt on the life of her own five-year-old son in Engels, Saratov region, could not explain the motives for her act, REN TV reports.
According to the source, the 29-year-old woman saw "something paranormal" in her son. She attacked the child with a knife, inflicting about 20 wounds on him. The boy survived, he was hospitalized with wounds in the chest, abdomen and neck, he is in intensive care.
As REN TV clarifies, the child lived with his mother in a hostel on Poltavskaya Street, the family was considered dysfunctional. According to the regional prosecutor's office, the family moved to Engels in July 2020. A criminal case has been initiated.
Earlier, the court arrested for two months a woman who strangled her children with a scarf, and then left her in a ravine in the cold. She was charged with violating s.
