AvtoVAZ activists reported calls from law enforcement agencies due to a post about events in Kazakhstan

Trade union activists of AvtoVAZ complained about phone calls from representatives of law enforcement agencies and calls to the criminal investigation department. The former chairman of the independent trade union of workers of AvtoVAZ, Unity, a member of the trade union committee, Anna Perova, and a worker of the forging production of AvtoVAZ, trade union activist Maxim Napaskin, spoke about such calls.

The AvtoVAZ Workers community on the VKontakte social network has about 29,000 subscribers. It regularly reports on the production process at the enterprise, working conditions and problems associated with the operation of the plant. In a published appeal, the activists spoke out in support of the workers of Kazakhstan who took part in the protests in January 2022: in particular, they urged not to call those who took to the streets “terrorists” and “marauders”.

“When events began in Kazakhstan, an article was posted in the AvtoVAZ Workers group in support of the workers of Kazakhstan. I got a call from a man who introduced himself with a laugh as a "KGB officer." He said that this article is provocative and I would like to meet you. I said that there is no provocation there, we support not only the workers of Kazakhstan, but all the workers all over the world. And if you so want to see me, send me a subpoena. But nothing happened, ”Perova said.

According to Perova, the conversation took place in mid-January, after which she did not receive any messages or calls from the security forces. Maxim Napaskin received a call from the police on Monday, February 7, and his wife was sent a summons to the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Togliatti on February 10 in a messenger. As a wording of the reason for the call, it says "on a matter concerning you."

Details about the calls of the security forces to AvtoVAZ activists and how they should act in this situation from a legal point of view are in the material.
