Because of the emergency, 28 children had to be urgently evacuated from the building, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the region reported.

The building where the roof collapsed was built 55 years ago, but the roof was last changed in 2011. This winter it was not cleared of snow, despite the unprecedented amount of rainfall. As a result, the corrugated board sank on an area of ​​200 square meters. It is reported that the incident was noticed by the head of security of the rehabilitation center when he was conducting a round.

The children who were in the building were urgently evacuated and temporarily placed in the local rural school No. 21.

The regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations clarified that the rehabilitation center will not work until the end of the repair work. Now the assessment commission is inspecting the damage in order to establish the amount of damage and draw up the necessary design and estimate documentation.
