Russia (bbabo.net) - Law enforcement agencies are investigating the circumstances of the aviation incident in Yamal: this morning, a passenger helicopter made an emergency landing in a snow-covered field two dozen kilometers from the village of Antipayut in the Tazovsky district.

According to the press service of the Ural transport prosecutor's office, the Mi-8 of Utair was carrying shift workers from Novy Urengoy to the village of Leskino in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

The reason for the unplanned landing in the tundra was a technical malfunction of the aircraft: an uncharacteristic vibration of the main rotor blades appeared in flight.

There are 15 passengers and three crew members on board - all of them are in order. The airline sent a reserve aircraft to the emergency site to evacuate people.

"The helicopter received technical damage," the press service of the Central Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the RF IC specified.
