Russia - Komarovsky called a mistake that is often made with a headache

Russia (bbabo.net), - Doctor and TV presenter Yevgeny Komarovsky advised for severe headaches not to use pills, which, in his opinion, may be useless, but drugs in liquid dosage form. These are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

"It is necessary to use the drug in a liquid dosage form. For example, not a pill, but a syrup," the doctor advised in an interview with the Ukraine TV channel. Komarovsky added that with an intense headache, vasospasm may occur, in which case the pill will simply "lie in the stomach and not be absorbed."

Evgeny Komarovsky also recalled the significant difference between headache and migraine. With the latter, headaches will be episodically repeated and paroxysmal in nature. In this case, the duration of the attack can last from four hours to 72 hours. Komarovsky clarified that migraine pain is intense, unilateral in most cases and sharply increases with physical exertion. Also, the pain may be accompanied by increased sensitivity to external stimuli (smells, bright lights or loud sounds) and cause nausea. In addition, with migraine there is no external factor, that is, another disease, which also causes a headache, the expert emphasized.

Earlier, a somnologist, specialist of the European Society for the Study of Sleep, Alexander Melnikov, spoke about the reasons for waking up at night. According to him, several short night awakenings can be attributed to the norm. But it is important how quickly a person falls asleep after that. Long-term lack of sleep in such situations may indicate insomnia.
