During the first week of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, the demand for chips among the spectators of the competition grew by 3%, for fish snacks - by 7%, SberMarket, an online food and goods delivery service, reported after analyzing the demand for "classic" snacks and drinks. Orders for Chinese tea quadrupled, with more than 2.3 million purchases. There was also an increase in Chinese sauce sales, with demand up 38% more frequently.

According to SberMarket, a "classic" fan's set, which includes a portion of chips and a couple of bottles of sweet soda, will cost an average of 443 rubles. At the same time, a healthy alternative, such as WOK noodles with Chinese tea, will cost almost half as much: only 251 rubles.

“Many of us are used to eating in front of TV screens and smartphones. But such a vacation also has its drawbacks: we simply do not notice that we had time to get enough and began to overeat. At the same time, the habit is easily fixed, and, becoming a part of everyday life, affects weight and activity, ”said Alina Gubanova, a gastroenterologist at the SberHealth online medical service.

The doctor advises supplementing snacks with fresh vegetables and fruits, paying attention to the taste of foods and monitoring the feeling of satiety.
