Russia (bbabo.net), - A simplified procedure for recognizing or extending an established disability will be extended until July 1. This was told by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov.

“Today, realizing that the epidemiological situation in the country as a whole is still developing at a rather complicated level, we are assessing the need to extend the temporary procedures that we currently have for recognizing disability. The temporary procedure is valid until March 1. Taking into account the current state of affairs we plan to extend it until July 1," the TASS minister was quoted as saying.

As the press service of the Ministry of Labor explained, the main feature of the temporary order is that disability is automatically extended for six months in absentia, that is, without a person’s request. If disability is issued for the first time, then a group will be assigned to a person on the basis of medical documents and additional examinations will not be required for this.

It was previously planned that a new procedure would come into force on March 1 - according to it, disability can be extended both in absentia and in person (if a person wishes). It will be extended not for half a year, but for how long it should be according to the type of disease. Now the introduction of this order has been shifted to July 1.
