In Yekaterinburg, on February 11, several "southerners" beat a girl and her mother because of a conflict on the bus, E1.ru reports.
One of the readers of the publication said that the incident occurred with her mother-in-law and her husband's sister.
“Initially, the conflict between the girl and the men began in bus number 57. The men began to pull at their hats, slap them on the back of the head and mock the girl in every possible way. She asked her mother to meet her from the bus, at the last stop. And then there was the beating! The girl and mother fought back as best they could! - said the daughter-in-law of the victim.
According to her, the mother-in-law was hospitalized and is in serious condition. And the girl "got off with numerous bruises", but is afraid to go out into the street. The reader explained that this is not the first time this group has attacked local residents, but the police are inactive.
“They have been holding the whole street in fear for a long time, stealing phones and pestering young girls! This area is full of criminals. Southerners have already found a lawyer. After that, the investigator, who actively participated in the conduct of this case, was removed! Coincidence? The new investigator does not answer the calls of the victims,” she said.
The local Ministry of Internal Affairs told the publication that a criminal case had been initiated and had already been solved - they detained one suspect, since his comrades were not involved in the beating.
According to Znak.com, citing law enforcement sources, the suspect turned out to be a minor (17 years old), so he was released on bail. According to sources, the young man is from Azerbaijan and came to Russia on a study visa. He told the police that he had a fight with a girl on the bus, and her mother suffered, because at the bus stop she started filming the guy on a phone camera, for which she “received”.
The governor of the Sverdlovsk region Yevgeny Kuyvashev also commented on the incident on Instagram. He condemned the attackers.
“What kind of southerners are these? Did they come from the Krasnodar Territory or is it still from some country where they can treat women like that? I ask everyone who suffered from the actions of this gang - write to me in private messages, I will figure it out, ”the head of the region wrote.
