To combat increased fatigue, memory impairment and a feeling of “fog in the head” after a coronavirus infection, physical activity is necessary. This was told by the neurologist of the network of clinics "Atlas" Igor Matsokin.

“We need to gradually increase physical activity: to start, regular walks of at least 3 km a day are enough. Then you can connect the pool, the gym, ”advised the neurologist.

According to Igor Matsokin, “cognitive training” will bring benefits, including reading, memorizing poetry, solving crosswords and puzzles, as well as board and even computer games.

“Sleep is important: it is with proper sleep hygiene that sufficient detoxification and recovery of the brain occurs,” the neurologist added.

He also advised to eat right - reduce the amount of sugar and fast food in the diet and add enough foods containing omega-3 fatty acids and vegetables.

According to Igor Matsokin, cognitive dysfunction and asthenic syndrome, which are manifested by increased fatigue, reduced concentration, memory impairment, and a feeling of “fog in the head,” are common consequences of coronavirus infection.

“As a rule, to one degree or another, asthenic syndrome is combined with sleep disturbance, impaired sense of smell and taste perception disorders, dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system, functional (mental) disorders, including depressive episodes and anxiety disorders,” explained the neurologist.

Previously, she told how to eat after the transferred “omicron”.
