Most of the Russians who recovered from the coronavirus experienced manifestations of post-covid syndrome, but 80% of them ignored them and did not seek medical help. This is reported by Kommersant with reference to the results of a telephone survey of the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM).

According to the data received, 79% of recovered Russians faced the consequences of COVID-19. 61% expressed confidence that in case of post-COVID symptoms it is necessary to consult a doctor and undergo a medical examination.

However, 80% of citizens who recovered from coronavirus with a clear manifestation of post-Covid ignored this and did not seek the help of doctors, expecting that “everything will pass by itself.”

The survey involved 1.6 thousand people over 80 from 80 regions.

Earlier, Tatyana Ruzhentsova, deputy director for clinical work at the Moscow Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology named after Gabrichevsky Rospotrebnadzor, said that post-covid syndrome after infection with the “omicron” strain of coronavirus is easier to tolerate than in the case of other strains.
