"Seven regions of Russia are ready to accept refugees. These are the Krasnodar Territory, Kursk, Voronezh, Belgorod, Oryol, Bryansk, Moscow regions," he said.
According to him, these regions are ready to receive over 28.9 thousand people. For example, the Moscow region can take up to ten thousand people. The general said that in the event of an attack by Ukraine on the Donbass and a large number of arriving refugees, they would be able to send citizens to these regions by rail.
At the moment, the operational headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, headed by Acting Minister Alexander Chupriyan, is working in the Rostov Region. Earlier, he supported the introduction of a state of emergency in the Rostov region. The decision was made due to the fact that refugees from the self-proclaimed republics of the LPR and DPR began to arrive in the Russian region en masse. Their leadership announced the temporary evacuation of citizens to the Rostov region in connection with the threat of Ukraine's invasion.
President Vladimir Putin instructed to give refugees 10,000 rubles each. These one-time allowances to the evacuated residents of Donbass are planned to be issued today. There should be no delays, as many have bank accounts in Russian banks.
